5 Smooth Beats You Should Listen To This Week

This was a really good listening week , let me give you some vibes you’ll enjoy!

1. Revel by Smoke Trees

I found this super nice beat on the STEEZYASFUCK livestream. I think I listened to Smoke Trees like years ago but never made time to actually hear out his craft. This song is from a beat tape released in 2017 so I can only assume he’s gotten even better. I’ll be listening to him more!

2. Presico by Tom Doolie

I discovered Tom’s songs in 2020 right around the time I started releasing my own music. I was captured by his absolute crisp mixes and instrument selection on the EP Naoko. He has not disappointed with his new album, Only Poem. Presico is the first song in the album and features wavy chords and a memorable piano topline together with an acoustic guitar. Minimal drums were used and the song encapsulates a really warm feeling.

3. Coffee, Please by RejSende

I first heard this song around February this year on the “Coffee To Go!” mix by The Jazz Hop Cafe on YouTube but never checked the name. Fast forward to last week and I hear it play in a playlist on Spotify and I immediately remembered the electric piano and was hooked! It’s fun because I can say I rediscovered this song and what a beautiful song it is.

4. new apartment by coldbrew

This is such a addictive little song. It’s not complex, doesn’t have a lot of rhythm changes but it’s so good! The little guitar strums and background melody. Makes me really want my own little apartment.

5. Silence by Philanthrope & Kupla

My go-to chill out song. The level of mellow this song has is unmatched. I have yet to find a beat that surpasses Silence but if there’s one out there I hope to find it one day.

That’s my short little update for this week. Have a great week and check out The Beat Journal on Spotify for these songs and more like them!

ALSO! I have a 3 track EP out called Lowkey Vanni's Quest out now everywhere!
